in America the Beautiful Quarter, United States Coins

Another milestone in the America the Beautiful Quarters Program will be attained today as the 2010 Yellowstone National Park Quarter is released into circulation.

Obviously, the US Mint has been striking the circulation quality quarter dollars for some time to build up an inventory that the Federal Reserve can draw on for everyday commerce demands, but today marks the first day in which the Reserve can use the new strikes.

For those collectors who are unable or unwilling to obtain the 2010 Yellowstone National Park Quarter at their local banks, the US Mint has also created two product offerings with the new quarter dollars.  These items launch today, as well.

The first is a two-roll set of the new strikes.  The set includes one roll of forty circulation quality quarters struck at the US Mint's facility in Denver and one roll of circulation quality quarters struck at the US Mint's facility in Philadelphia.  Each roll is encased in special Mint wrapping indicating the face value of the contents included in it as well as the Mint facility that produced them.  The Two-Roll Set is listed for $32.95 directly from the US Mint.

For the other product option containing the new Yellowstone Quarters, the US Mint has made 100-coin bags of the strikes available.  Buyers have the choice of a 100-coin bag of quarters struck at the Denver US Mint or a 100-coin bag of quarters struck at the Philadelphia US Mint.  These quarters are also struck to circulation quality.  They ship in a coin bag imprinted with the face value of the contents and a special label sewn on showing the specific strike contents of Yellowstone Quarters. Price on each bag is $35.95.

Those interested in purchasing either of the above mentioned options can do so directly on the Mint's website of www.usmint.gov or by calling their toll free number of 1-800-USA-MINT (872-6468).
