2013 White Mountain Quarter Bags and RollsToday, January 28, 2013, the United States Mint released the 2013 White Mountain National Forest Quarter in bags and rolls. These products went on sale beginning at Noon (Eastern) and may be ordered directly from the United States Mint.

Found in each of the White Mountain Quarter Bags and Rolls are circulation quality White Mountain National Forest Quarters struck as the first 2013-dated release of the US Mint's America the Beautiful Quarters® Program. Shown on the reverse of each coin is a design emblematic of White Mountain National Forest located mostly in the state of New Hampshire.

The America the Beautiful Quarters series made its debut in 2010. This program is scheduled to contain five new strikes annually from that debut until the last strike of the series appears in 2021. Each new coin of the series honors a different site of national interest with one site chosen from each state, the District of Columbia and the five US territories.

2013 White Mountain America the Beautiful QuarterThis specific quarter dollar contains a reverse design emblematic of White Mountain National Forest of New Hampshire. The design showcases Mt. Chocorua framed by birch trees. Mt. Chocorua is the easternmost peak of the Sandwich Range.  Inscriptions include WHITE MOUNTAIN, NEW HAMPSHIRE, 2013, and E PLURIBUS UNUM.

The obverse of the coin contains the same John Flanagan portrait of George Washington as seen on all other America the Beautiful Quarters. It is surrounded by the inscriptions of UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, QUARTER DOLLAR, LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST and the mintmark.

Buyer's have six new options to obtain the White Mountain Quarters depending upon which US Mint facility or facilities they would like the coins to be from. All contain circulation quality White Mountain Quarters with options for those quarters to be from the US Mint facilities in Philadelphia, Denver or San Francisco.

Philadelphia and Denver are responsible for the circulating coinage of the nation so coins from these two locations may eventually make their way into pocketchange (the release date for the coins into circulation from the Federal Reserve Bank system is also today). In contrast, San Francisco struck quarters are produced solely for numismatic purposes and will not likely be seen in general circulation.
